Routes of Santiago de Compostela in France

Santiago de Compostela, located in Galicia in northwest of Spain, was one of the most important pilgrimage places throughout the later Middle Ages. The four main pilgrimage routes in France to Santiago de Compostela started at Paris, Vézelay, Le Puy, and Arles. Each of these places was the meeting point for pilgrims from the rest of Europe.
