Cathedral, Amiens, France

Construction of the current cathedral, in Gothic style, began in 1220 on the remains of a former Romanesque cathedral built in 1152 and burnt down in 1218. St. Firmin (San Fermin), native of Pamplona (Spain), martyred in 303 AD, was the founder of the diocese and the first bishop of Amiens. The cathedral also contains relics of St. John the Baptist, brought to Amiens in 1206.
